Phone Shield is a unique stand-alone device designed to protect duplex analog voice channels (for example,public telephones) from wiretapping. Phone Shield provides you with confidentiality of telephone conversations transmitted through unprotected communication channels without digitalizing of information. It differs from the devices like scramblers as your partner need not to have the same equipment, since Phone Shield protects all your telephone line.

Features
Phone Shield generates the noise and transmits it to the communication channel, then completely removes that noise itself. It is often impossible to detect the source of noise signal. It is also not possible to filter the useful speech signal with the help of another device Phone Shield.
The device has two modes of operation: normal and protective:
- Normal mode: Phone Shield does not influence on the work of the telephone set
- Protective mode: the user on the other side can transmit confidential information
The connection in the protective mode is one-way so the Phone Shield user can only listen, his partner on the other side can only speak.
Phone Shield is designed to protect the confidential information transmitted through the telephone channels from wiretapping. It adds to the communication channel a strong speech-like noise, which reliably hides the useful speech signal.
The device is used only on the side of the subscriber who is receiving information. The subscriber who is transmitting the confidential information may use any non-protected telephone including even pay phones (street call boxes). Even if your line wiretapped, the listener will never be able to decode the information.
Phone Shield noise can not be cancelled with any device except this Phone Shield itself. It emits random noise which can be cancelled only when its precise characteristics are known, that is what kind of noise was emitted at that moment of time.
